PROJECT BRIEF

With a bright and open vision in mind, the client wanted a staircase that would complement the contemporary interior of their new home.

Lots of glass was being incorporated at the rear of the property to accentuate the expansive space and stunning views, so we needed to produce multiple sets of stairs that would achieve the same effect whilst seamlessly connecting the different floors.

OUR SOLUTION

As with all our projects, we visited site to carry out a survey and collect measurements before agreeing final drawings and designs. Doing so meant that we could take complete responsibility for the stairs fitting first time; which was especially important with this project where they were all quite unique.

"Saved us time and money"

The house itself is fairly unusual and we had multiple staircases to design, including: two small, parallel flights on the lower ground floor, a single flight that leads to a central landing, a short, wide flight that connects to an external balcony, and a double-width flight that finishes at the front entrance.

Back at the workshop, we combined solid oak stairs with glass balustrades and mopstick handrails, as per the final designs. Each was finished on time, though a slight delay with screed on site meant that delivery was delayed. As with all projects, delays are always possible, so we like to ensure that we maintain flexibility throughout. Delivery was therefore rescheduled for a more convenient date and went without a hitch.

 "The fitting was a dream"

The stairs were installed with ease and finished in the same varnish that was used on the flooring, resulting in a modern and simplistic design that flows through the irregular angles of this home.

Would we use you again? Definitely! We had previously worked with another provider and had a few issues we had to deal with which cost us time and money. With Multi-Turn, communication is excellent. You were patient dealing with us, our queries and questions, which is superb. The site survey is great and means we've got experts taking responsibility for that part of the build. From our point of view, fantastic.
