CLIENT: In a large, Grade 2 listed building, carpenters were attempting to extend and make adjustments to an existing staircase and initially approached us to to supply new spindles and balustrade.
PROJECT BRIEF
Whilst our original brief was to supply the spindles and balustrade, this was quickly changed to a full new staircase replacement once the client became aware of our comprehensive product range.
Happy with the current style, the client wanted to recreate the existing structure with replica spindles and feature brackets.
OUR SOLUTION
Following an initial site survey and agreed designs, the team in the workshop set to work on reproducing this grand and palatial staircase.
The redwood cut string stairs feature standout curved bottom steps, detailed spindles and replica components. Arguably, the main eye-catching features are the decorative brackets and scotia detailing to the side, along with the sleek sapele continuous handrail, finished with a stunning volute.
We, and our client Anthony, were delighted with the finished result, with the new stairs being described as "perfect"!
