CLIENT: We were approached by our long-standing, award-winning client to produce softwood stairs for their development of around 50 homes in Southbourne.
PROJECT BRIEF
To reflect the high quality build and interior of their homes, the client envisioned a simple design for their stairs that would evoke a comforting and homely feel.
They required two sets of softwood stairs per week in order to keep the project on track, with arrangements for separate deliveries of the second fix of balustrades, handrails and spindles put in place to allow other trades to continue the build without damaging any components.
OUR SOLUTION
To ensure we could take responsibility for all the stairs fitting first time, our team visited the site to measure up all the plots.
After agreeing designs with the client, our workshop team produced the softwood stairs from our Cottage range and ash handrails to complement. Prior to delivery, all stairs were pre-primed - a knotting coat to start, followed by a primer layer on top to ensure the timber is completely sealed and protected from moisture.
With priming and dry assembly completed by Multi-Turn, the fitters and decorators were in a position where they could install the stairs with ease. Each staircase was complete with soft, neutral carpeting for a modern finish.
We use Multi-Turn for all our stairs and the system is very efficient.
